Ops, AI agents, and building an AI-native operating system.

No posts are published yet. Until the first one is, the reading list below covers the same ground — the playbook, the feature list, the ROI calculator and the comparison pages.

What we write about

This blog is where the AmDital team writes up what we learn building one AI-native workspace for CRM, projects, finance, HR and support. Five themes come up again and again.

Collapsing the tool stack

Most growing teams run operations across a CRM, a project tool, docs, an HR system, finance software, a time tracker, chat and a helpdesk. Each tool is its own login, its own bill and its own copy of the customer. We write about what that costs in re-keying and reconciliation, and about what changes when a deal, a project, an invoice and a support ticket for the same customer sit on one workspace record instead of four.

AI agents with guardrails

An assistant that only knows one tool can only answer a fraction of the question. We write about grounding answers in the whole workspace, about starting with one agent on one workflow — sales follow-ups, expense categorisation, ticket triage — and about the rails that make it safe: Ami interactions are logged, and destructive actions wait for a person to confirm them.

Migrating without a big-bang cutover

Switching systems fails when everyone moves at once. Our approach is one team at a time: import what has an importer (HubSpot history into the CRM, leads from CSV), recreate the projects that are still active, cut that team over, then move the next. Posts on this topic cover what to bring across, what to leave behind, and which tools are worth keeping alongside AmDital.

People operations on the same record

Attendance, leave, reviews and onboarding work better when they share data with projects and finance rather than living in a separate HR silo. We cover running HR inside the workspace, and what to do when an existing HR system such as GreytHR stays the system of record for payroll — check-ins can go out to GreytHR as swipes, and leave balances come back.

Building in the open

AmDital is founder-led and built out of Bengaluru. The public roadmap shows what is planned, in progress and released, and the ideas board lets signed-in users suggest features and upvote the ones that matter to them. Posts here explain the reasoning behind what we build next — and what we decided not to build.

How we write

Every post sticks to what AmDital does today. When we describe a feature, it is one you can switch on in a workspace now; when something is planned rather than shipped, it belongs on the roadmap, not in a post. Numbers come with their source — the ROI calculator, for example, links every competitor price it uses to that vendor's own pricing page — and we would rather leave a claim out than publish one we can't back up.

We also write about where AmDital is not the right fit. Some teams should keep a tool they already rely on, such as GreytHR for payroll and statutory filing, and connect it instead of replacing it. The comparison pages follow the same rule: they say where the other tool is the better choice, not only where AmDital is.
